APPROX 85% OF THE MATERIALS ARE RECYCLED FROM OLD RUN-DOWN REHEARSAL ROOMS & BUILDING SITES WHERE BUILDERS HAD A SURPLUS TO THEIR NEEDS & INSTEAD OF INDUSTRIAL ACOUSTIC/SOUNDPROOFING GOING TO LAND FILL VALLEY HAS REPURPOSED IT IN A GREAT WAY.

no only is this room repurposed Belconnen Hoyts cinema original acoustic draped from 1995.
it has been built to represent history at its finest forms. some have called it a mini ballroom, others a cigar den. whatever your take on it you can rest assure the sound quality of any band lifts on this room as the different angles and the spaced out panels of velvet create a very velvet warmth to the sound.

VELVET UNDERGROUND (DELUXE)
The VELVET UNDERGROUND room is approximately 24m2 with a 4x6 setup 7 a 3-metre high ceiling. It has a cove for the drums, which are specifically full-time setup for speed and convenience.
The FLOOR
The Flooring Consists of a 16mm Fullsolid Tounge & Groove Walnut floating floor.
this timber was picked and placed in such a way it creates resonance and sustain for a lot of low-end and mids where as they would get lost in other rooms this size.
The WALLS
The whole room has been acoustic scientifically constructed with the methods of acoustically treating, sound leveling & acoustic attenuation of the room for maximum benefit by greatly improving the sonic properties with the use of white/brown/white noise with technologies such as SoundID Sonarworks Software & their Precision Measurement microphone along with some of the top world reference microphones a stereo matched pair of AKG C414's.
